What You’ll Need To Start The Autoimmune Protocol- Product Guide

Okay, so you’ve got all the resource materials you need to start the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP).  Now, let’s go over some of the products you’ll need to create a successful transition to the AIP.  These are products I use daily or weekly.  In other words, I couldn’t live without them!

I’ve separated the products into foods and gadgets for you.  Many of the foods, you may want to buy in bulk because you’ll be using them a lot.  Even if you’re not ready to take the plunge into the Autoimmune Protocol yet, you’re going to want them for your paleo transition.  I know several people who are going to be transitioning to paleo, as a stepping stone to the Autoimmune Protocol.  One of those people is my very own Mom!  After seeing the great improvements I’ve made in my health, she’s decided to give it a go! I’m so proud of her.  And, I’m so proud of all of you who have decided to take your health into your own hands!  What a wonderful testament to self love in the new year.

Obviously, you don’t have to purchase all of these products immediately to be successful on the Autoimmune Protocol.  But, some of them will certainly be needed right away.  Items like coconut oil, olive oil, are used quite often, if not daily.  And, since you’ll be cooking more, you’re going to want to invest in some good cookware.  Some nonstick pots and pans use a coating that can become toxic over time.  It’s best to use stainless steel, ceramic, or cast iron.  My cast iron skillets and pans have become a favorite in my home.  I cannot tell you how much I’ve been loving my new Instant Pot.  No joke, I’ve been making at least three dishes a day in it.  In fact, I just ordered another inner pot, so I could easily move one dish to cool, while starting another.  Yeah, I know, I’m nuts!

You’re also going to want a high powered blender,  an immersion blender, and a food processor.  Trust me, these items will make your life much easier!  Oh, and get a ton of glass containers and jars to store your foods in.  I also use freezer bags like crazy.  Since you’re probably going to be preparing many meals in advance, you’re going to want to freeze them for later.  I just buy Ziplock freezer bags in gallon and pint sizes at Costco.

Now, lastly, you may want to invest in a CSA or local farm food delivery, in your area.  I personally use Door To Door Organics- Chicago.  I love them!  They deliver a box of farm fresh organic produce and locally farmed meats right to my door.  Check out their website here to see if you’re in their delivery area.  If you’re in Illinois, just click on the Door To Door Organics ad in this blog’s sidebar.  There may be a special discount for you!

So, you’re all set to start your paleo and the Autoimmune Protocol transition!  I’ll be offering you plenty of information to help you along the way.  I, myself, am looking forward to starting some reintroductions in this wonderful new year.  I also have a few surprises in store for you.  I would love it if y’all would comment once in awhile to let me know how you’re doing.  If you’re a little shy, check me out on Instagram.  I think you’ll find the AIP community really welcoming over there.  I’ve built some great, compassionate relationships on my Instagram account. Get connected!

Good health to all of y’all!
