Whew! Things have been busy around here! I’m sure you’re all feeling the holiday rush, too. It seems like everyone needs a bit of our time right now. Plus, there are gifts to get and wrap, parties to attend and host, and decorations to dig out of the attic and put up. I could go on forever! So, I’m sure you’re all getting ready for your Thanksgiving feast. If you’re like me, you may have guests/family, in from out of town. My two sisters, brother-in-law, and little nephew are all coming to celebrate Thanksgiving with me. I’ll actually be cooking for eight people this year. To be sure I don’t spend all my valuable time in the kitchen, instead of catching up, I plan to make a few dishes ahead of time. This Breakfast Sausage and Spinach Quiche is one of them.
Well, Thanksgiving is just around the corner! Do you have your menu planned? If you’re like most people new to paleo or the AIP, you don’t. Some of you may be feeling a little lost, especially if it’s your first paleo or AIP holiday. Many of you probably have non-paleo or non-AIP family to feed. Or, perhaps, you’re like me, and have to bring your own meal to a family get together.
Don’t worry. I’ve got your back! I have some wonderful suggestions for great AIP and paleo cookbooks available to you right now. You still have plenty of time to plan your holiday menu, whether you’re cooking for just yourself or a whole group.
If you’re following the autoimmune protocol (AIP), you’re going to love my gal pal, Bre’anna’s new holiday cookbook, AIP Holiday….they won’t know it’s paleo. Bre’anna is the blogger behind He Won’t Know It’s Paleo. Her holiday cookbook is filled with amazingly delicious AIP recipes, perfect for your holiday celebration. Bre’anna has you covered with recipes including Simple Turkey & Gravy, Mama E’s Squash Casserole, Spiced Bread Pudding with Rum Cajeta Glaze, Baklava Bites, and good ol’ Pumpkin Pie. I don’t know about you, but that bread pudding recipe did it for me! Get your copy HERE! It’s only $4.99! Plus, you’ll get Bre’anna’s Tips for a Successful AIP Holiday!
And, since the holidays have me in a giving mood, I’ll be hosting a giveaway for one copy of AIP Holiday….they won’t know it’s paleo, for those of you who receive my newsletter! This giveaway will start on Monday, November 16, and end Wednesday, November 18 at 11:59PM. It’s open to ALL persons 18 or older. Not on my newsletter email list, sign up HERE!
Now, if you’ve made some reintroductions, or you’re good at converting paleo recipes to AIP, you could enjoy holiday recipes from the many paleo cookbooks available. My first suggestion is, of course, Paleo Magazine’s Holiday Cookbook. I have two recipes contributed to this cookbook, Chicken & Andouille Sausage Gumbo and Blueberry-Peach Pecan Cobbler. This cookbook is filled with some of paleo’s hottest recipe creators, including Russ Crandall from The Domestic Man, Martine Partridge of Eat Heal Thrive, Paleo On The Go, Melissa Joulwan of Well Fed 1 & 2, Tammy Credicott of The Healthy GF Life, and Kelly Brozyna of The Spunky Coconut, just to name a few. And, let me tell you, the recipes are ALL incredible. You can get your very own Here! Plus, I’m doing a giveaway for one copy of Paleo Magazine’s Holiday Cookbook! This giveaway is open to all US residents, 18 years or older. It will run from today, Friday, November 13, 2015, to Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 11:59PM. Next week, I’ll be posting my favorite blog recipes for the holidays. Many of them are AIP, since a large part of my diet is still AIP. I will have lots of links to the recipes I myself will be cooking from for the holidays, as well as some I just think you’ll enjoy. Some of them will be from my blog; but, I will also have some from my amazing friends in the paleo and AIP communities. Be sure to check back next Friday.
Good luck with your holiday menu planning! Let’s make this the best paleo and/or AIP holiday EVER!
As alway, I wish you good health……..and, good food.
