  1. Is the fried fish po boy recipe posted on your site? It looks amazing! Any ideas what I could use as the “bun”, as I’m allergic/intolerant to LETTUCE (of all things!)? What spice do you use for the coleslaw? I thought all peppers (except peppercorns) were ill-advised for autoimmune sufferers (something about night shades being inflammatory?). Thanks!!

    1. Hi Mollie! You can find my fish po boy recipe here: recipe. This recipe was created before I started the AIP. I have since added the AIP substitutions to the recipe. Instead of lettuce, you could use a coconut wrap, cassava tortilla, or collard green leaf. All peppers are excluded in the elimination phase of the AIP, even peppercorns. Peppercorns are a Stage 1 reintroduction. That’s wild about your lettuce allergy. I’ve never heard of that. But, you learn something new every day. If you have any other questions, please let me know. I wish you good health in your journey.
