Wow! I can’t believe I only have eight days left of The 21-Day Sugar Detox. This time has been so much easier than the first time. I haven’t had any of the cravings I had before. I guess it does get easier to stay paleo, after you’ve been doing it for a while. Good to know!
I’m going to cut right to the chase today. I’ve actually been enjoying a semi-day off. I have barely been on social media at all today. I’m taking a much needed break. Of course, I’ll be back at it tomorrow!
What did I eat on The 21-Day Sugar Detox on day 13?
I enjoyed my lunch so much, I decided to change the recipe of the day to this one, instead of the meatballs. I’ll be releasing the meatball recipe tomorrow. I think it’s important to have some lunch recipes for you as well. So, enjoy this Sardine Salad with Garlic Mustard Dressing recipe.
1 cup chopped dandelion greens
2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
1 small cucumber, sliced
½ avocado, chopped
Salt & Pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
1 teaspoon Spicy Brown or Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Crushed Garlic
Olive oil from can of sardines
Salt, to taste
Place all of salad ingredients, except sardines, in large bowl. Remove sardines from can, and put aside. Pour olive oil from can into small bowl. Add the rest of dressing ingredients to small bowl. Whisk together. Add dressing to salad in large bowl. Toss well. Transfer salad to plate. Place sardines atop salad; or, crumble them on top. Enjoy! Serves 1.
For dinner, I cooked up one of my favorites, a burger. I threw some broccoli slaw on top of my burger, made simply with paleo mayo and spicy brown mustard. Then, I served it up with some Spicy Cauliflower Boulettes, recipe to come next week. The only thing I missed was some ketchup (no tomatoes for me).
