Day Fourteen of The 21 Day Sugar Detox & Meatballs Recipe

Only one week left on The 21-Day Sugar Detox!  I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t happy I only have seven days left.  I seriously am starting to miss my variety of fruits.  Plus, for my birthday, I’ve decided to make paleo friendly Strawberry White Chocolate Bread Pudding.  The original was one of my favorites.  It should be fun to “paleoize” it.  Of course, I’ll put up the recipe when I’m done perfecting it.

If you saw my earlier post, you saw my delicious Roast Beef Po-Boy with Red Onion Gravy.  When you say it, be sure to pronounce onion the way we do down the bayou, “onyon”.  It’s a lot more fun that way!

For dinner, I cooked Artichoke Leek Fettuccini, and added my Italian Sausage Mushroom Meatballs.  I’ll give you the recipe for the fettuccini in tomorrow’s post.  Here is the meatball recipe:

Paleo Italian Sausage Mushroom Meatballs Recipe

Italian Sausage Mushroom Meatballs

1 pound Italian Sausage, bulk

4 large Cremini or White Button Mushrooms, diced fine

1 Egg

¼ cup Nuts of your choice, ground (I use Pecansmeatballs Day Fourteen of The 21 Day Sugar Detox & Meatballs Recipe ir t boanmo05 20 l as2 o 1 a B001F3J868; but you could use cashews or almonds)

1 Tablespoon Crushed Garlicmeatballs Day Fourteen of The 21 Day Sugar Detox & Meatballs Recipe ir t boanmo05 20 l as2 o 1 a B00DPN4SRA

1 Tablespoon Organic Brownmeatballs Day Fourteen of The 21 Day Sugar Detox & Meatballs Recipe ir t boanmo05 20 l as2 o 1 a B0046ZTV7I or Dijon Mustard

1 Tablespoon Coconut Aminosmeatballs Day Fourteen of The 21 Day Sugar Detox & Meatballs Recipe ir t boanmo05 20 l as2 o 1 a B003XB5LMU

1 Tablespoon Organic Basilmeatballs Day Fourteen of The 21 Day Sugar Detox & Meatballs Recipe ir t boanmo05 20 l as2 o 1 a B000WS08YI, dried

¼ cup chopped fresh Parsley

¼ teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.  Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.  Once all ingredients are mixed, form meatballs and place on baking pan, covered with parchment paper.  Put pan in oven and bake for 30 to 40 minutes.  When meatballs are cooked through and browned, remove from oven.  Makes about 15 meatballs.

Extra tip: My favorite way to form meatballs is with an ice cream scoop.  Simply scoop out the meat mixture into your hand and roll to form a ball. It dispenses the perfect amount for one meatball.
